The contents of this directory are as follows (listed out of the usual
sorted order to hit the most important install-related stuff first)---note
that this is a copy of the DEVELOPMENT directory, and there are incomplete
features (e.g., optioanl city names on the maps), etc., and there is no
setup.exe for the Windows users:

   00-README_FIRST.txt: this file

jstrackdoc.pdf The new documentation from installing to using
JStrack. This documentation is probably not complete, but it's
FAR better than what was here before.

----

supporting_sw: ActiveTcl 8.4.x (includes all of the extra libs that
JStrack currently uses) and mciplay (for playing sound files via
the command line, e.g., from within JStrack).

storms_archive: old storm data (1851--1985) in both .tar.gz (for
Unix or Windows users) and .rar (for Windows users) formats.

autoconfig.tcl: run this (using wish, as described in
INSTALL-2.0.txt) to configure JStrack. Generates paths.tcl.

----

filt: The e-mail filter's directory (also includes the old
winfilt.tk). Unix users: set procmail to pipe a copy of
      NHC/TPC products from WX-ATLAN to filt/filt.tcl; Windows
users: if you use the ftp program for your updates, it will
pass the data to the filter.

ftpfilt: The ftp kludge for Windows users ... basically a hack
to work around the lack of a procmail equivalent on Windows.

tracker: The actual tracker program. jstrack.tcl is the graphical
version (uses wish), and jstrack-text_only.tcl is the text-only
      version (uses tclsh).

----

HISTORY: the HISTORY file for the development of JStrack. Lists
changes (by date, most recent first), my TODO list, and any bugs
that I've seen and/or had reported to me.

NOTES: a directory containing misc. notes, etc., for JStrack
      development and/or installation.
